An investigation committee finalized a probe into the murder of Qassam leader Mazen Fuqaha and will hand over the report to Hamas chief in Gaza in the next few hours, Filastin al-An (Palestine Now) news site reported on Monday evening.
According to the probe, the Palestinian security forces arrested the murderer, who has been interrogated pending his trial.
The final report will be handed over by the committee to Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya al-Sinwar.
Mazen Fuqaha, an ex-prisoner, was assassinated by gunmen on Friday, March 24, in Tel al-Hawa, south of Gaza city.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, had held the Israeli occupation accountable for the murder of Fuqaha and vowed to respond to the crime very soon.
